Parenting and working is indeed difficult to balance. However, life is about dealing with things. Hence, the least we can do in terms of this is to search for alternative solution on how we can make things in easier way.

As a parent, of course we always wanted to keep our kids in safe and so keep their things and surrounding clean and neat. With that, we manage to hire someone to take care of them in behalf of us when we’re away. But since hiring a nanny is not that easy especially if you’re living in places where such service is prohibited; of course, we tend to search for more other stuff.

Washing clothes, cleaning the house, updating our kids every now and then are just some of the important stuff we are always worried of. But since this generation offers convenient solutions, things are now easier to handle without getting worry that much.

Instead of going to work late due to household chores, now everything made more convenient than ever. Washing your clothes with the help of coin operated washing machines, sending kids to babysitter center and buying their meal in restos available anywhere… definitely, to be a parent and at the same time a contractor can now be possible at a time!

The Simpsons Itchy & Scratchy Land

The 6th season of the Simpsons saw one of their best episodes in its fourth episode entitled Itchy and Scratchy Land. It can be seen on premium channels of www.direct.tv occasionally and is really worth checking out if at all possible.

This episode has pretty much anything a Simpsons fan could want. Including but not limited to some characteristic Simpsons moments such as Bart and Lisa asking Homer repeatedly if they can go to Itchy and Scratchy land. It is done in the fashion of the “Are we there yet” that helped skyrocket the ! Simpsons to the caliber of show it is today.

The show becomes interesting as Bart and Homer are arrested for harassing costumed employees. The episode is ranked 7th on the Top 25 episodes of the Simpsons from Entertainment Weekly. The episode features a ton of robotic cats and mice, in the image of Itchy and Scratchy, going crazy and trying to attack guests to the amusement park. As the crew and remaining patrons leave the park in a Helicopter they see Bart and Homer and due to their past encounter tell them that when they “get to hell tell them itchy sent you”.

This leaves the Simpsons to battle a park full of evil robots. The situation is defused when they realize camera flashes disable them, and even Marge agrees that it turns out to be one of the best Simpsons vacations ever.

Bad Weather

I have learned one thing from being in bad weather. It does not matter how much water you have saved, it is not enough. We had enough drinking water, enough to last for almost a week. We did not have water to flush the toilet with, cook with or bathe with! That was a miserable week. Thank goodness the water was restored in about five days. That is a lesson learned and now I keep a bucket on the back porch that is full of water. This water will only be used to flush the toilet so I am not too concerned if it stays on the porch for an extended period of time. I actually learned that tip while watch a survival show I saw on DIRECT.tv. It made a lot of sense to me. It is also important to keep a disaster kit in case you get stranded in the car. My husband saw how important that kit can be when he could not get home because of bad roads and had to stay at work. It was a nerve wracking few nights, but he was appreciative of the kit I made for him.

These days, if you want to keep your family to stay safe and sound all the time… keeping an eye with them is the ideal thing we can do. Aside from that, if we use in trusting no one in taking care of our family, much more in trusting them to weathers we can possibly experience as of today.

Why? That’s simple. Take a look of our environment today; is it the place you used to have before? Is it the place you dreamed of for your kids or your family, perhaps? No, it isn’t.

A lot of us are still hoping to restore what we used to have before. However, for some instances… it’s quite impossible especially if we won’t do anything at all to make everything possible. But then, with the help of experts and great scientists of this generation… we can still hope to make a change and start a new beginning.

One of the issues we’re currently experiencing is the high risk we get from breathing polluted air. With that, we only have little chance left to enjoy fresh air we used to have before.
